What is the L40 Cluster?

The L40 cluster is a cluster of three servers with 8 48GB L40 GPUs owned by the Data Science Institute and operated by the Center for High Throughput Computing.

Specifications:

The L40 GPU Cluster has the following specifications:

  • 8x NVIDIA L40 48GB GPU
  • 3x Intel Xeon® 6342 (2.8GHz) Processor (24-Core) = 72 CPU Cores
  • 16x 32GB ECC REG DDR4-3200 (HPC Memory Module) = 512 GB Total
  • 960GB Enterprise SSD Drive
  • 7.68TB Enterprise NVMe Drive

Who can use the L40 Cluster?

The L40 Cluster is available to DSI Affilates and their partners, collaborators, and students.

How do I access the L40 Cluster?

The L40 Cluster is accessed through the Center for High Throughput Computing’s HTCondor job submission process. You will first need a CHTC account. Next, contact us to receive priority status for your HTCondor jobs to run on the DSI L40 Cluster. If you qualify for an L40 account and would like priority status on the L40 Cluster, please contact Jason Lo: jason.lo@wisc.edu.
