ML+X Sponsorship
Thanks for considering a sponsorship with ML+X. Partnering with us puts your organization at the center of one of UW–Madison’s largest machine learning and AI communities, connecting you with emerging talent for hiring and internships and showcasing your brand at our events, hackathons, and online channels.
We offer two sponsorship tiers with distinct benefits and visibility. We invite you to explore these tiers, outlined below. Note that sponsorship benefits follow the academic year (September 1 – August 31). Contributions made between April 15 and August 31 will apply to the upcoming academic year.
In-kind contributions: In addition to direct financial support, we also welcome in-kind contributions such as compute credits, hardware, or related resources. For sponsorship tiers, these contributions are recognized at 50% of their cash value. Please note that a minimum of $1,000 in cash support is required to qualify for any sponsorship tier, with in-kind contributions applied on top of that amount.

Logo visibility & shout-out: Your logo is showcased on the ML+X website, the Machine Learning Marathon website, on slides at ML+X events (recordings posted to Nexus and YouTube), and on member T-shirts featuring this year’s Marathon projects. We also thank our sponsors at our monthly coffee sessions and major events.
On-site table: Reserve a table at UW–Madison’s annual Data Science Research Bazaar, attended by 150+ participants from across campus and local industries. Showcase your work, connect with researchers and students, and network with the regional data science community.
Nexus spotlight: Publish a sponsor-authored blog or tutorial to the ML+X Nexus homepage. We’ll also share it on ML+X Slack.
Hosted event: A dedicated ML+X event featuring your organization — talk, demo, or workshop. We promote it to the community, and it can optionally be recorded and posted to Nexus and YouTube.

Applied ML/AI collaboration: Featured sponsors are invited to propose a challenge, prompt, or dataset to be featured as a project in the annual Machine Learning Marathon, which runs September–December. Projects are highlighted on the ML+X site, promoted during team formation events, and may include optional Q&A sessions with participating teams. This is a unique way to showcase real-world challenges and connect with learners and researchers.
Email permissions: Permission to post up to 2 messages (per year) to the community’s Google group, with over 1,000 subscribers across UW–Madison.
