Project summary
Data Science for the Non-Data Scientist was a CAIRIBU ARCTICS community forum organized in collaboration with the UW–Madison Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) and the Data Science Institute. The goal was to provide an approachable overview and practical applications of data science and AI for clinicians. The series included discussions of basic concepts, general guidance when translating to biomedical sciences, and a review of recent literature using data science in urology.
Project deliverables
“Good reminders of things that I sort of knew and new stuff. In particular I found the data classification information very helpful.”
“Good ways to explain concepts to students in my lab, good ways to conceptualize different types/categories of data.”
“We are all at different points in understanding, but we each walked away learning something.”
